Projects to save the earth are nothing new. Environmentalist all over the world have been developing and running organizations for years, but the word about global warming effects on human lives is spreading more rapidly during the past 20 years. In the US, renewable energy organizations can be found in most states, with each one focusing on one particular area. They are non profit organization and depend on others to meet their financial needs. Following are a few of those organizations, and the purposes they serve.
New Mexico Solar Energy Association
This is a non profit organization focusing on solar energy. The organization provides education and training to the locals. It was originated to develop forms of renewable energy. The goal established by volunteers running the organization wanted villages to live sustainably, and to educate people on solar power issues. Volunteers in renewable energy organizations include solar energy advocates, building contractors, architects, educators, engineers, and teams who draw plans for renewable energy.
Montana Renewable Energy Organizations
Montana is home to a 20 year old non profit organization for ethanol producers and consumers. This organization has the function to educate and train people about using ethanol, or E85, and where to find locations to buy it. Ethanol is made from starches in a grain or kernel, and turned into an alcohol. This is how renewable energy organizations are creating alternative fuels for vehicles. The organization holds conferences, with the 2010 EPAC Conference being one of the largest yet. Students are invited to give their input on biofuels for which they have created projects on and the winner will receive a large reward.
North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association
This non profit organization, also called NCSEA, promotes renewable energy and efficiency throughout the state marketing to universities, public policies, and the economic development of growing areas. Out of all the renewable energy organizations, North Carolina is now providing one of the largest job markets with over 10,000 green energy jobs. The association has also worked hard to develop a tracking system, called NC Renewable Energy Tracking System (NC-RETS), with utility companies ensuring the states requirements are met for energy consumptions. This system is due to start tracking on July 1st, 2010. This is how renewable energy organizations should reach out to their communities.
Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association
Another non profit association, the GLREA has been around since 1991, promoting construction, manufacture, design, sales, marketing, and education for renewable energy organizations and their resources. They have information on solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and other clean energy technologies. The association had a 600 kilowatt wind turbine installed to provide energy to the local residents and businesses. They run one of the earliest green pricing programs. The association is structured to provide huge contributions to sustainable energy development in their region in the years to come.
Each of these renewable energy organizations involved with developing new technologies for sustainable living and educating their communities all work on non profit tax deductible income. This shows you the commitment that each organization has to their regions. They all have one goal in mind, and that is to clean up our causes to the global warming crises, and renew them with energies which create healthier lives for humans.
