Global Warming Hoax

This article on "Global Warming Hoax" provides you with useful information about global warming.
Although there appears to be mounting evidence that global warming is on the rise, there are still significant numbers of scientists who vehemently dispute this contention. Not only is there disagreement as to the reliability of the data being released to the general public, altruistic motives of politicians are being questioned as well.

Controversy Among Scientists

On December 8, 2009, a group of 141 renowned scientists submitted a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations disputing the reliability of purported ‘facts’ that try to substantiate global warming. There is growing concern regarding the economic toll mandated legislation would force on world citizens, and many of these scientists see global warming as a money making venture for politicians and big businesses alike. They state that “there is no sound reason to impose expensive and restrictive public policy decisions on the peoples of the Earth without first providing convincing evidence that human activities are causing dangerous climate change beyond that resulting from natural causes.” In other words, get the facts straight before upping the price tag on energy controls.

Case in Point #1: Arctic Ice

Part of the reason why many people buy into the global warming hoax theory is the fact that satellite imagery tends to dispute the fact that Arctic ice is on the wane. As a matter of fact, these images seem to prove that the total area of Arctic ice has actually expanded within the past three decades. Some references claim that there is 30% more Arctic ice in 2010 than in 1980. A thirty percent increase is significant enough to be visible on satellite imagery, so many are blaming politicians and the mainstream media for not releasing these images and subsequent calculations.

Case in Point #2: Al Gore

Then there’s the case of former Vice President of the United States, and one time Presidential Candidate, Al Gore. On a global level, he is most famous for his video on global warming, “An Inconvenient Truth.” Unfortunately, Mr. Gore doesn’t like to practice what he preaches which gives people quite the wrong impression. He recently bought an Italian villa that has a view of the ocean, several fountains, at least six fireplaces, five bedrooms and an amazing nine bathrooms. There are no apparent solar panels, absolutely no solar water heating, and of course, no windmills to provide renewable energy. What the world does not need are global warming activists who live contrary to their public presence.

While there is still a great deal of evidence to support the fact that global warming is an issue that requires urgent attention on a worldwide level, it is obvious that the most visible advocates belie the validity of their contentions, giving credence to the global warming hoax theory. Perhaps it is important to view their hypocrisies in terms of human nature as opposed to evidences supporting or negating global warming. Taking the easy way out is human nature, and that is what led us to the global warming crisis in the first place.
