This bulb uses XLamp XP-G Cree LED´s and is expected to produce as much as 25m000 hours of longevity. This is 25 times longer than what any 40 W halogen bulbs or incandescent bulbs can last for. It is also thrice longer compared to conventional CFLs, which have a typical lifespan of 8,000 hours. While these bulbs can be pricey, the savings realized over time will make them more than worth it.
