Super Bright LED Flashlights

Must read information about: Super Bright LED Flashlights
Advances in LED lighting technology are being made everyday, and as a result, new and exciting products are emerging. This technology is also impacting manufacturers of flashlights, most of which have been making standard flashlights for years. Let’s face it; everyone wants to get on the LED bandwagon. LED flashlights are also growing in popularity due to the many benefits there are to carrying them. Super Bright LED flashlights are an example of one manufacturer who made the transition for conventional lamps to LED´s quite nicely.

Lumens and LED Flashlights

The scale of brightness of any LED flashlight depends on the amount of lumens it uses, lumens being the standard measurement for the amount of light emitted. A good example of lumens would be to say that a standard household kitchen, when completely lit, uses approximately 10,000 lumens. If one LED flashlight has 10 lumens, it will be far less bright than a model that has 100 lumens. With that in mind, consumers will have an idea how to determine how bright an LED flashlight will be. Super Bright LED flashlights can have anywhere from 90 to a whopping 642 lumens, the latter being found in newly released models that may be a bit more costly, but well worth the price.

Sturdy Super Bright Design

Most of the Super Bright LED flashlights on the market are made in such a way that they are nearly impossible to break from falls, drops, or bangs. This makes them a very attractive purchase to people who participate in extreme sports, or work in a field that may entail rigorous activity. This durability can be priceless, especially if dropping or jarring one during a situation that requires the use of a flashlight. Many of these flashlights are even made with the same aluminum that is used on aircraft. For durability, Super Bright is near the top of the chart.

Less Power Consumption

With incandescent Super Bright flashlights, there is normally a requirement of several large size C or D batteries. This can become rather costly when a flashlight is used often. In addition most of them only last for a few hours. With Super Bright LED flashlights, the general battery requirement is AA or AAA. These smaller batteries are cheaper to buy and because LED lights use at least 75% less battery power to function, it is a sure bet that the batteries will last much, much longer. Also, those smaller batteries make for a much lighter weight flashlight!

LED Bulb Life Span

LED light bulbs can last for as long as 100,000 hours. An incandescent bulb has a life span of approximately 2,000 hours, which is significantly lower. Because of this, the cost to replace bulbs is nearly non-existent in LED flashlights. That is, a person may be able to use the exact same Super Bright LED flashlight for a decade, or two! That is quite impressive when compared to standard flashlights that constantly need bulbs replaced. Even fluorescent light bulbs do not last as long as LED bulbs, not to mention the toxicity of mercury in those fluorescent bulbs!

Super Bright LED flashlights can be found online and are being used by more people than ever. They come in many different models with a different number of LED bulbs in each. It is important to remember that the lumens are what determine how bright the flashlight will be, not the amount of bulbs that are in it.
