The AAA LED flashlights from Arc have recently taken the market by storm. These small-sized, black flashlights are a far cry from the regular bulky, cheerful-looking versions available at most stores. Yet, these AAA flashlights do deliver quite a punch. Construction
The AAA LED flashlights are made out of anodized black aluminum and are just slightly larger than the single cell AAA powering them. The solid construction means it is more durable than most other flashlights. It is easily switched off and on by turning the light end. The LED does not jut out of the light end and instead is located at the conical reflectors bottom which serves to protect the LED. These flashlights are small in size measuring just about 71.5mm by almost 12.7 mm, that is, close to 3x0.5 inches. There is a detachable split-ring, which makes it easy to attach the flashlight to a lanyard or key ring. The entire back of this flashlight is in one piece and to change batteries, the rear lamp assembly needs to be unscrewed.
High Intensity Lighting & Ease of Use
The biggest advantage about the AAA LED flashlights is that they are very portable. In addition, the light is very intense and bright, which is a bonus in particularly dark areas where there are no alternative light sources. Compared to their incandescent counterparts, these flashlights are extremely sturdy, throw out a much brighter light and are virtually immortal as far as prolonged functionality is concerned. This often comes as a surprise since they are so small. On top of having the ability to clip this LED flashlight to just about anything with a ring, it´s design allows for it to never be a burden unlike some of the more conventional flashlights.
New Stronger Revisions
Arc has been manufacturing newer lines of AAA LED flashlights namely the GS LED, which is called Nichia. This revision comprises many new attachments namely a tapered head and a more improved LED Nichia NSPW500GS-K1. These flashlights have been specially designed while considering four aspects namely portability for daily usage, good runtime and output and finally durability. The company has ensured that even though the flashlight is small, it will last through fire and rain and for quite a while too - most LED´s have a lifespan reaching over 100,000 hours. In addition, the entire body of the flashlight has been Chemkote-treated for corrosion resistance.
Even with low voltages, the AAA LED flashlights have highly efficient circuits, which power the LED sufficiently. With the brightness capability far exceeding its size and weight proportion which are reasons enough to buy the little life saver, there is nothing stopping people from all walks of life making solid use of it.
