This is due to the fact that in order to arrive at light that is softer and less harsh, regular white LED light needs to be decreased. This is achieved by the manufacturers incorporating a phosphorous filter to the already existing LED design. As a result, there is a small additional cost in the additional requirements needed to obtain the end result, being that of an incandescent appearance. But, LED lights will last for decades as opposed to the projected 2,000 hours associated with incandescent bulbs.
Despite the similarity to traditional lighting, dont be fooled. The benefits of this warm white LED light remain the same as any other Christmas LED light. There was certainly no compromise with benefits when these lights were designed and manufactured. Expect the same superior LED quality when purchasing warm white Christmas LED lights.
